About the Event
Kidney disease is becoming more common in our community and across the country, with an estimated 37 million people being affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD) in the U.S. This symposium is held for people in Lubbock and the West Texas Area. Primarily those with kidney disease, including those on dialysis or with a transplant, and those in the mid to late stages of CKD (stages 3-4), and their family members.
Our goal is to provide education addressing issues unique to this population. The symposium, "Empower Yourself: Take Control of Your Kidney Disease" will be held IN-PERSON. This symposium is offered free of charge to patients, family members and caregivers. Door prizes will be given away at the event.
